RadiusXR®

RadiusXR® Virtual Reality Visual Field Testing

At Lakeway Eye Center, we invest in advanced technology to make eye care more accurate, comfortable, and efficient. RadiusXR® is a state-of-the-art visual field testing system that uses a lightweight virtual-reality headset to evaluate how well you see in your peripheral (side) vision.

Visual field testing is essential for detecting and monitoring conditions such as glaucoma, neurological disorders, and retinal disease. Unlike traditional testing equipment, RadiusXR allows patients to complete the test comfortably while wearing a portable headset rather than sitting in a large machine.

This innovative system delivers highly reliable visual field measurements with clinically validated accuracy, while also allowing our doctors to track subtle changes in your vision over time.

RadiusXR also integrates seamlessly with our diagnostic systems, enabling our team to analyze results quickly and provide personalized recommendations for protecting your long-term eye health.

Benefits for patients include:

  • Comfortable, lightweight headset design
  • Accurate testing for glaucoma and neurological vision changes
  • Faster, more efficient exams
  • Ability to monitor vision changes over time

By incorporating technology like RadiusXR, we’re able to provide modern, data-driven eye care while keeping your experience simple and comfortable.

Dry Eye Imaging

Topcon TERA™ Dry Eye Imaging

Dry eye disease can have many different causes, which is why accurate diagnosis is essential for effective treatment. At Lakeway Eye Center, we use the Topcon TERA™ Dry Eye Imager, an advanced diagnostic system that allows us to evaluate the health of the tear film, eyelids, and ocular surface in detail.

This technology combines multiple non-invasive tests into one platform, allowing our doctors to assess key factors involved in dry eye disease—including tear film stability, tear volume, and the health of the meibomian (oil) glands that help keep the eyes properly lubricated.

The system also captures high-resolution images of the ocular surface and eyelids, helping identify issues such as meibomian gland dysfunction, inflammation, and tear film abnormalities that can contribute to dry eye symptoms.

Because the imaging is quick and non-invasive, it provides valuable diagnostic information while remaining comfortable for patients.

Benefits of TERA imaging include:

  • Detailed evaluation of the tear film and ocular surface
  • Visualization of meibomian gland structure and function
  • Objective measurements of tear stability and tear volume
  • Clear imaging that helps guide personalized dry eye treatment

By using advanced diagnostic technology like Topcon TERA, we can identify the underlying causes of dry eye and create targeted treatment plans that provide lasting relief.
